A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and Executive Director, Center for Peace and Justice, Comrade Mulade Sheriff has call on the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa not to see his reelection as as position for retirement, maintaining that the Governor was not the best candidate but his reelection was as a result of equity, fairness and justice.
Comrade Mulade who contested for the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South West Constituency in the just concluded polls, made this call when members of Forum of Practising Journalists Delta State Chapter led by Mr. Nelson Agbajor pay him a courtesy visit in his Warri office.
He asserted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa did well in his first tenure in office but there is need for the Governor to dedicate the next four years for Cleaner and Safer Delta.
" Governor Okowa has done well in his first tenure but I urged him to dedicate the next for years for a cleaner and safer Delta State".
Mulade who makes case for the establishment of a Coastal Area Development Agency, also appeals to the Governor not to kill the Warri Airport to develop Asaba Airport because Warri is the power house of business in Delta State, maintaining that there is nothing wrong if the state have tow functional airports.
The Patron of the FPJ, Mulade while expressing satisfaction for the visit by the media group, also pledged his unalloyed support to the growth of the organization through an effective partnership view.
